This is the 40th edition of Viking News. We'll show you how it all comes together. Many students have a parent working at the school. How do those students feel about that? We'll show you who won Atlantic High's weightlifting competition and preview the fastest runner on the girls track team. Plus what's the meaning behind a students' tattoos? And finally, students look ahead to spring break.
Originally launched in 2019 and temporarily paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the academy gives students direct access to professionals from the Atlantic City Fire Department, Police Department, Beach Patrol, and Emergency Medical Services.
Every year, we ask all students, families, teachers, and staff to take surveys to give school leaders a better understanding of what members of their school community think about their school. The information collected by the survey is designed to support a dialogue among all members of the school community about how to make the school a better place to learn.

Last week, Atlantic City High School celebrated International Mother Language Day. Did you know that 41 languages and dialects are spoken at ACHS?

In this edition of Viking News, we'll preview the Battle by the Bay basketball tournament which takes place January 31st-February 2nd plus show you a halftime show you don't want to miss. We'll show you the new hi-tech monitors at the gym, tell you about the blood drive at the school, and you'll find out what students will be giving their loved ones on Valentine's Day.
Stockton University will be hosting a FAFSA completion workshop January 29th from 8:30 - 10:30 AM. The workshop is open to ACHS students and their parent/guardians. Please make sure you have the appropriate documents prior to the workshop.
